After much thought I have had a test ride of a new Honda VFR800 VTEC bike this afternoon. Wow what a fantastic bike, had no problems with it at all and loved every minute of it.
It didn't take me long after the test ride to decide that I wanted one, the offer of the free luggage (worth £1000) was just too hard to resist. Managed to get a deal I was happy with and signed on the dotted line. Should be picking it up next Saturday, can't wait.
We have recently joined a biking forum called North UK Bikers, NUKB for short. They specialise in taking groups on ride outs, it's completely free and is just a bunch of bikers doing what they like best, riding bikes.
Today we went on a ride out to Devil's with them organised by Ali, it was a very good turnout and we had a lovely day and meet loads of nice friendly people.
Unfortunately we had a complete nightmare after we left them in Burnley town centre. We were stopping in slow moving traffic at a roundabout when Helen went to put her foot down and got her pant leg caught on her peg which assisted in pulling her bike over on top of her. Helen was fine, hardly any damage to bike, light scratch on the back end, but worst of all the clutch lever snapped off completely. Which left us stranded in Burnley for 3 hours waiting for recovery.
We went over to the Princess Royal Pub were the nice landlady made us both a coffee and wouldn't except any money from us.
